At Mind & Seek, we have a rapidly growing waitlist for children, adolescents and parents seeking support. We have recently moved to a beautiful new location in Belmont - offering youth-oriented rooms and a dedicated receptionist. We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate child and adolescent psychologist to join our service as a part-time contractor.

As a sub-contractor, you will provide counselling, intervention and assessment services for children and adolescents who present with learning, developmental, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

The contractor role offers:

• A professional, friendly and flexible working environment.

• Regular and ongoing individual and peer supervision (including opportunities for clinical endorsement).

• Administrative support and access to clinical resources.

• A diverse range of client presentations to deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people aged 3 to 16 years and their families.

• The opportunity to complete a range of psychological assessments and reports for the purpose of diagnosing developmental or learning presentations.

• EXCELLENT remuneration and flexible working hours.

• 2-3 days available

• Support and opportunity to develop own areas of interest and expertise.

• An established network of connections with local GPs, paediatricians and schools.

Essential Criteria

​

• Full registration as a psychologist with AHPRA.

• Capability to work independently in conducting assessments and counselling for children, adolescents and families.

• Skill and expertise in providing psychological interventions and therapy to children, adolescents and families.

• Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and ethical practice.

• Medicare provider number eligibility.

• Must have own ABN and public liability/professional indemnity insurance.

Desirable

​

• Endorsement as an Educational and Developmental Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist highly regarded.

• Experience assessing and supporting Autism and ADHD

• Experience working in a private practice.
